“Time is good” as what an old saying goes.Time is the only thing that we cannot bring back,if it is done it is done.Every tick in a clock is important, wasting it will not make us productive.During the ancient period, they just used the sun or the sound of a rooster to determine the time but now due to the modernization we have plenty of gadgets wherein we can easily determine the time because it has exact number.Time also serves as our limitation because we have a time for work and time for rest.We cannot denied that in this world full of changes, sometimes we are not aware that we have a lot of time being waste. What we need is time management.According to Dr. Radhika Kapur
Time management is considered to be a skill that should be mastered by all the individuals at all levels and in all walks of life. Some people keep extremely busy schedules that arise out of their educational requirements, office work, job duties or household chores. In order to avoid feeling stressed or pressurized due to work, it is required to effectively implement time management.
As a college student living in home away from home time is a must, time is treasure management is a must.It is as precious as treasure. When I enter college I’ve experience difficulty in managing my time due to the adjustments of the time to wake up and time of sleeping as well the time for doing my paper works.I’ve learn that having a schedule of what we will do will make us more productive and it is a symbolism of being skillfull.
Here are some tips and tricks on how to manage your time effectively as a college student.
- Have a plan for all your task
Planning is essential to start up everything, through planning we can solve a certain problem. To plan our task earlier for what we will do tomorrow is much better and more efficient.Planning task can be weekly or daily.
2. Write down your plan.
Writing is an effective way to remember what you have in mind,it can be in a form of to do list or calendar marking.
3. Finish the first task you did
Sometimes that is the problem of a student, they didn’t finish their first task that is why some cannot submit their projects at the right and scheduled time.”Ningas Kugon” mentality is what it is all about wherein we are very cheerful and willing to do a task but when laziness or other matter strikes us the willingness and cheerfulness was being diminished.
4. Treat time as your money
Saving time is as is saving your money. We should used our time effectively and in a way that we can do all our tasks for everyday.
5. Avoid procrastination
Do not stressed yourself because you didn’t accomplished your task.In the first place we cannot but blame ourself because we didn’t manage our time well.Procrastination is maybe good for some but it will stressed everything in us,our sleeping and eating pattern, our health condition, our mood and such. But if we will do our task earlier and with passion and love there will be no more stress.
6. Do not waste your time and do not be late at school!
Those were just some of my personal experiences and tips to manage my time.We are all the controller of ourselves but we cannot control time from going on.Do not be a victim of “bukas ko na tatapusin, mahaba pa naman ang oras” or a victim of late comers.S top procrastination, rise up and use your time in a right way and right doings.
